Vibrant, youthful & creative!
Tektek Nota is a project-based youth ensemble that originated from the initiative “Be Tikka Banda for a Day” in March 2019. This innovative band provides young and emerging musicians with the opportunity to break away from traditional marching band setups and explore their musical creativity. Over the years, we have hosted musical workshops, team-building sessions, and live music performances that help youth musicians develop their skills and confidence.
As a modern music platform, Tektek Nota collaborates with various organisations in Malta. In 2019, we launched our first educational experience during “Tektika Kapitali,” a Valletta Cultural Agency project in collaboration with the Malta School of Music. In 2021, we teamed up with the European Parliament Liaison Office of Malta to revamp classical music at the “Tnax-il Silla” concert, showcasing a fresh take on European classics. In April 2022, our young musicians partnered with Caritas Malta and is-Suq tal-Belt to organise the “Music for Hope” concert in Valletta, where they performed live and raised funds to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
